SPECIAL EVENT ICON DESIGN TALKS: Architecture and Environment
Kazuyo Sejima, Pritzker Prize winner, explains his design approach starting from iconic case studies. Architecture is where people can meet and be together, while at the same time know that they can keep their independence, as in a park, where different people pass their time doing various activities: mothers with children, couples, elderly people, etc. The urban park, however, gives the sensation of not being alone, but with others, part of a community. Architecture is like a park where people can share the space with others, while respecting each other’s diversity.
