Interni Human Spaces

The Umbria Region returns for the seventh time to the Milan Design Week, reinforcing its participation in the important international showcase. Umbria is confirmed as a Region able to give continuity to this important event, it does so by presenting a real project to enhance the territory: L.U.C.E. Public - Urban Places Create Experiences within the "Interni Human Spaces" exhibition, scheduled from 8 to 19 April 2019 at the University of Milan. The installation is designed by the designer Marco Williams Fagioli, twice winner of the ADI Golden Compass in 2011 and 2016 and founder of Zup Design, and sees the creation of five luminous volumes in transparent fiberglass that depict anatomical details, such as muscles and tendons, taken from the plaster casts of Michelangelo kept at the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia. From the forms of the works of Michelangelo originate the proposed volumes, revisited as furnishings of urban spaces in terms of public lighting. An idea at the base: the cities become privileged places on which Europe intends to build its own future, reserving in the community programs spaces and resources to the theme of the Urban Agenda as a tool of community financing for the development of European cities. The challenge is to define an overall vision of a city in which infrastructural issues are strongly integrated with transversal themes such as digital, the government of mobility, social and architectural quality. A path that sees the Umbria Region as the promoter and catalyst of a renewed approach to urban policies, with the aim of disseminating culture, skills and professionalism on the territory.
