The version of Ambra Medda about Fuorisalone

1

What does the Fuorisalone mean for you?
_

The Fuorisalone is a moment of great discovery and enthusiasm because it is a chance to meet again for people like us working in the design field. The unmissable in the 2016 Design Week is the Air BnB project.

2

And what does it mean for Milan?
_

For Milan it means lots of interesting cultural and business initiatives. The city gets full of people coming from all over the world to celebrate design. It is an opportunity, a honour and a responsibility for the city'.

3

Inside or Outside the Salone?
_

Although I respect everything happening inside the Fair, I think the Fuorisalone offers much more interesting material for a kind of research like mine. The most important thing I discovered at the Salone is the work of Andrea Anastasio.

4

The fetish you found (or stole) during the Design Week
_

I always find something special at Antonio Marras. He has a keen eye for craftsmanship and I always find a gem there: a gown or a basket.

5

What and where to eat during that week?
_

Actually I run a lot and don’t eat much during that week. But since I am not based in Italy I am usually happy with a simple sandwich or a salad made with fresh and tasty ingredients. However, my favourite places are Spazio Orlandi, Nilufar and Galleria Luisa delle Piane.

6

The best relationship you have established during the design week
_

I met Edward Barber, who I am currently living in London with and with whom I am expecting our second baby girl!
