AGC Flat Glass Italia is the Italian branch of AGC Glass Europe based in Belgium and specialises in the production and processing of flat glass for the building industry (external glazing and decorative glass for interiors), automotive, solar applications and other specialised industries. AGC Glass Europe is the European division of AGC Glass, the world leader in flat glass production. AGC Glass Europe has more than 100 sites throughout Europe, from Portugal to Russia, and employs around 16,000 people.
The AGC plant in Cuneo
The AGC plant in Cuneo went into operation in 1963 and is today the largest glass production plant for the construction sector in Italy. In addition to the float line (primary glass production), the site has plants for processing: laminated safety glass, mirrors, satin glass and glass with coatings for solar control (coating). The float line produces two types of primary glass:
- Thicknesses from 3 to 6 mm, mainly used for the processed transformation by the plant itself (laminated, mirrors, satin-finished, coating).
- Thickness from 8 to 25mm, the exclusive "Linea Azzurra" range, very appreciated by architects and designers for particular furnishing and interior design needs.
