In London, the Butterfield brothers have directed and promoted the development and exhibition: 19 pieces of furniture, created by 19 international designers, which will be auctioned for charity.
From an idea of British designers Tom and Will Butterfield comes 19 Chairs, a charity exhibition in response to the health emergency. The exhibition project supports the non-profit Organisations Age UK and Resourcing Racial Justice.

The two brothers made one chair a day for 19 consecutive days, creating a very unusual collection of furniture which, although different from each other, is marked by recurring styles and materials. The 19 pieces were then literally sent off and assigned to the same number of international designers, including Sabine Marcelis, Tom Dixon and Jean Jullien, to be used as a starting point for new style exercises.

The furnishings, the result of this interesting creative experiment, are now on show in the studio of the two designers in London. Throughout May, they will be the object of an exclusive online auction, the profits from which will be donated to the two non-profit organisations in the United Kingdom.
