A selection of ideas for essential reading on the world of design. Here are the titles not to be missed.
Through reading we can travel and discover new and unknown worlds, dream and imagine our lives elsewhere. Or simply learn new things and get in touch with real stories.
Today we suggest 5 titles, between design and architecture, fresh from the press. Enjoy your reading!
1- “Tante care cose – Gli oggetti che ci hanno cambiato la vita” by Chiara Alessi.
"Things are concentrations of stories, memories, smells, affections, transitions, memories. When we lose an object, we really lose a piece of the past."
During the months of quarantine, design critic and curator Chiara Alessi, for 90 days, built a virtual archive recounting in two minutes and twenty the objects of the history of the Italian twentieth century.
We often find ourselves looking at them but not understanding their real essence: in reality they are more surprising than we think and carry with them stories, feelings and memories. Today, this splendid project has been turned into a book.
