Taca Li is a modular system for temporary installations in recycled plastic for exhibitions, fairs, festivals, outdoor events, on the beach, in parks or in the square.
Two recycled HDPE joints allow you to connect PVC pipes that are also recovered for build tables, shelves, baskets, partitions, gigantic and light fittings. Six joints and 12 tubes make it possible to form an octahedron, a shape that guarantees excellent resistance to compression. Thanks to a through hole in the joints, it is possible to fix plans or graphics with repositionable clamps. Triangular or trapezoidal tops are made by cutting old forex boards or other scrap materials. Furthermore, by varying the length of the tubes, the dimensions of the base module can be changed, creating shelves, tables, bottle holders or baskets for separate waste collection.
Taca lì makes it possible to find a use for recycled HDPE for the production of joints. Furthermore, it allows the reuse of PVC pipes, waste to be disposed of in large quantities at each renovation / demolition and which are only minimally recycled. A waste that is not only easy to find, but also has perfectly standardized dimensions.
ilVespaio spent a year of tests with computer simulations and 3D printed joints with the help of The FabLab and experiments with recycled plastic. Then he had the definitive aluminum molds milled in order to self-produce the recycled HDPE joints, using the shredder and the "Precious Plastic" injector. Precious Plastic's machines can be transported to events to engage attendees in making Taca there with recycled plastic and creating the set-ups.

This project is part of the "Fuorisalone EustachiORA_Wine & Design": in all the wine shops of the district, the projects of a selected group of designers will be present. We will enhance design, linking it as inspiration, to the culture of wine, but above all they will become disseminators of eco-sustainability and the conscious management of plastics and all those other materials that otherwise would not have a new life.
The goal is to create projects that reinvent the way of approaching these issues, through a more conscious, sustainable use, such as recycling the reuse of materials and objects. We want to give the neighborhood a different approach, at hand on these issues so present in our daily life
Fuorisalone EustachiORA 2021 will be a showcase and an opportunity to give life to a conscious, functional design and above all in defense of our planet.
|| The projects will be exhibited for free throughout the week, in the district's wine shop||
