Bun-emon Kido
The artist Bun-emon Kido has created a series of ceramic plates that offers a further interpretation of the meaning of Kokai, the traditional Japanese aesthetic that investigates the relationship between artistic representation and the spectator. Each plate has its own cut, but it’s a part of the whole, only when they are read together the drawing is created, in harmony. Wa means harmony, but like all Japanese words, it evokes much more. Wa represents all that is serene, in balance, in peace.
