GREEN ISLAND 2023 - KIOSK Project curated by Claudia Zanfi / Landscape Atelier

The GREEN ISLAND international program, which has always been active in areas experiencing strong cultural and urban expansion, offers in this 21st edition the special installation created by designer Antonio Scarponi. An eco-design, ingredients and botany journey for the Milan Design Week, from 17 to 23 April 2023, created specifically for the Porta Garibaldi station, in the Isola area of Milan.

The idea is a pop-up, mobile, light and multipurpose kiosk-kitchen in certified wood, around which a series of activities for the public revolve: a place for exchange and meeting, presentation of cocktails with herbs, reading of unpublished recipes , events and performances, essences and floristry. The installation will then be re-proposed in Art and Design Schools, where it will serve as a sharing project for young people and students.

Throughout the week, a series of 'ISOLA TALK & WALK' meetings will be organised, dynamic and interactive actions on the themes of botany, creativity and the art-nature-food relationship, with industry experts. This will be followed by walking tours in the ISOLA district, with guided tours to discover designer studios and artist ateliers, places where creativity comes to life, passing through the streets of the Isola Milano district.
