Time
Milan Design Week 2024 enters the future with Lexus, which brings all its innovative and distinctive vision to Milan's most important cultural event. "Time" will be the name of this year's installation, which stems from the Lexus Future Zero-emission Catalyst, the Lexus concept that testifies to the brand's desire to maximize the potential offered by electrification and innovation to shape its new idea of mobility.
This year, Lexus will be present in the spaces of Superstudio Più, at Art Point and Art Garden, from April 16 to 21, with "Time," the installation composed of two works that express all the visionary power of Lexus and its software-enabled design.
The works on display will be Hideki Yoshimoto/Tangent's "BEYOND THE HORIZON," accompanied by music by Keiichiro Shibuya, which expresses a vision of next-gen mobility evolving with the help of software, and "8 minutes and 20 seconds" by Dutch solar designer Marjan van Aubel, where the common theme of time reflects Lexus' progress in designing and producing human-centered cars, as well as pioneering new approaches to design and technology toward an increasingly sustainable future.
Both installations are inspired by the "LF-ZC" (Lexus Future Zero-emission Catalyst) concept car: a new cutting-edge electrification model that will enable highly dynamic driving, as well as a new concept of the automotive experience defined by the synergy between hardware and software to create distinctive and unforgettable mobility. This year, marks a 15-year association between Lexus and Milan Design Week, the perfect stage for the brand, whose ethos toward innovation, craftsmanship and the use of new materials has been driving design toward new, sustainable and human-centered boundaries for years.
Indeed, with the new concept that inspired the installation, it speaks of a new style, with the theme "provocative simplicity." All this contributes to the evolution of the Lexus identity through the use of refined and simple styling to bring visionary, high-impact design to life.
Finally, along with "Time," at Superstudio it will also be possible to admire LBX, a compact SUV that stands for Lexus Breakthrough Crossover, with which Lexus has entered a new market, redefining a new concept of authentic luxury in a small car.A display in line with Lexus' focus on design; in fact, great attention has been paid to the design of the space, conceived on the basis of the Tazuna concept, with the main controls and information sources are placed immediately around the driver.
This is complemented by excellent visibility and a dashboard that connects smoothly to the door panels and ambient lighting that makes the Lexus Omotenashi and customer focus even more evident: those who get into the car feel welcomed and comfortable, thanks in part to a range of 50 color options, curated in themes that evoke different moods.
