UNFOLD, the exhibition and conference curated by Domus Academy, returns during Milan Design Week 2025, offering young designers the opportunity to explore the ever-evolving nature of design from various perspectives. The theme of this second edition, "REAFFIRM DESIGN://reframing design impact," invites a critical reflection on the role of design in society and its real-world implications. The event stimulates debate on how design can influence our environments, communities, and technologies, encouraging participants to explore its deeper responsibilities. The exhibition will present innovative projects that push the boundaries of design, fashion, and technology, from garments made with living materials to interactive installations on autonomy. UNFOLD will involve 11 prestigious international design universities from Europe, the Middle East, South America, the UK, and the United States, providing a global platform for dialogue and innovation.
The event will be structured as follows: a six-day exhibition at BASE Milano, showcasing the 22 prototypes created by the students, and a one-day conference on April 10th at Domus Academy in Via Carlo Darwin, which will include a keynote speech by Yves Béhar, along with other activities.
