“The New Prometheus: The design of the employee of the future”
From April 7-13, 2025, Prolink presents “The New Prometheus - FUTUR#ABILITY®: The design of the employee of the future” at Fuorisalone, at Opificio 31 in Via Tortona 31. An immersive exhibition that explores the future of work through design, with a focus on technological innovation, sustainability and the connection among humans, technology and the environment with a focus on the sustainable mobility of Milan. The city, which has always been a pioneer in urban transformation, represents the ideal context to rethink how work, travel and daily life can coexist harmoniously.
The event fits perfectly into the core theme of Fuorisalone 2025, Connected Worlds, offering food for thought on the role of design as a tool to rethink the employee of the future, able to operate in a balanced and sustainable ecosystem. Milan, with its challenges related to mobility, urban innovation and environmental sustainability, becomes the perfect lab to imagine a future in which work and cities are more connected and efficient.
The exhibition, through a ledwall immersive area, offers a visual journey that explores the relationship among humans, cities and nature. Starting from Milan's current challenges - congestion, air quality, the need for more efficient travel - “The New Prometheus” proposes innovative solutions for a more sustainable mobility. The wheel, symbol of ecological transition and smart mobility, as well as the human being, become the link between work, energy and the environment, showing how design can foster a more liveable and functional city model.
The project is inspired by the myth of Prometheus - a symbol of challenge, progress and transformation - to ignite a new awareness on the future of urban mobility and work. The goal is to create an immersive experience that shows how technology and sustainability can integrate into employees' daily lives, redefining the very concept of urban space.
During the event, Prolink will show how design is not just an aesthetic or functional response, but a real transformational platform for the business world. The exhibition, conceived by the architect and designer Stefano T. Fabrizi, reflects a humanistic and sustainable vision, in which humans are not just users of technology, but active players in building a more harmonic future. Indeed, the project is a further step in the broader Futur#Ability® awareness process, which analyzes how the evolution of work and technology are reshaping social dynamics.
