PLAYFUL SCULPTURES

The YUUGU series was designed by Naoto Fukasawa to transform playground equipment into sculptural objects. For Design Week, the YUUGU series is installed outside the Triennale as a Playful Sculpture, creating a space where children and adults can have fun and spend time freely. It is an invitation to perceive the creativity and beauty hidden in playfulness. Among the pieces, OMOCHI resembles a slide, but its smooth surface also invites children to explore the joy of touch; BANRI, with its ring of slopes, creates endless games; and finally, HOUSE and DONUT inspire imaginative hideaways and explorations.
