Brands Stilnovo

Stilnovo, the brainchild of Bruno Gatta, was founded in Milan in 1946 just as Italy was beginning to face the many challenges of post-war reconstruction. Since the years of reconstruction and the economic boom, it has proved to be a well-established company and, at the same time, a melting pot of ideas that the historic “Domus” magazine indicates as a benchmark on the design scene, thanks to the production of memorable lamps designed by the very best Italian designers: from the Castiglioni brothers to Joe Colombo, Gae Aulenti, Ettore Sottsass, as well as Cini Boeri, De Pas-D’Urbino-Lomazzi, Danilo and Corrado Aroldi and Antonio Macchi Cassia, to name just a few. After decades of success, confirmed by the many lamps exhibited in the most important design museums in the world, Stilnovo was discontinued at the end of the 1980s, to be revived over thirty years later - in 2019 - thanks to the acquisition by Linea Light Group. This marked a new opportunity to continue a glorious history that began more than seventy years ago, through the re-edition of historical pieces, together with the increasing involvement of contemporary and emerging designers, thus creating a top-quality range of new lighting fixtures combining the history of design and modernity of lighting technology solutions.
