CORIPET is a voluntary non-profit consortium, recognized by the Ministry of Environment among producers, converters, and recyclers of PET bottles.

Coripet has created an innovative system for the direct management of PET bottles for food use. Producers who market this type of packaging - for water, milk, soft drinks, oil - by joining the autonomous consortium CORIPET comply with the obligations deriving from EPR ("Extended Producer Responsibility") for managing the end of life of their packaging introduced into the market.

CORIPET's further challenge is "bottle to bottle": the activation of a closed Italian chain for PET recycling. PET plastic bottles introduced into the market by consortium manufacturing companies are collected and recycled to become rPET that can be used in the production of new bottles.

A choice for the environment: the more you recycle, the less plastic you produce.

CORIPET includes all the main actors in the design, production, and recycling process of PET bottles for food liquids. The consortium is made up of

producers (companies that produce finished packaging for food liquids used for packaging their products - water, soft drinks, oil, milk) and converters (companies that produce semi-finished products, such as preforms, and accessories, such as caps, for PET bottles for food liquids). recyclers (companies that recycle PET bottles and have the positive opinion of the EFSA for the production of rPET suitable for direct food contact) are also part of the consortium.
