Brands MARTA SALA ÉDITIONS - MILANO
Marta Sala was born and raised in Milan by a family that helped shape the history of Italian architecture and design. At a young age, she began working at Azucena, the company her mother, Maria Teresa Tosi, and uncle, Luigi Caccia Dominioni co-founded with Ignazio Gardella and Corrado Corradi in 1947, absorbing the masters’ sense of good design while nurturing her own unique take on the family’s precious cultural legacy.
A free and intuitive woman with a typically Milanese entrepreneurial spirit, in 2015 she founded her company, Marta Sala Éditions. Her goal was to offer unique products distinguished by high-quality design and manufacture, yet which could also be mass-produced.
Her encounter with Roman architects Claudio Lazzarini and Carl Pickering marked the start of a productive and creative partnership that would give life to sophisticated and expressive sofas, armchairs, dining and occasional tables, lamps and accessories.
In 2022, she also began working with Federico Peri following the natural desire to branch out into uncharted artistic territory. The young designer’s energy fuelled fresh ideas and projects, shaping the brand’s taste for experimentation and Marta Sala’s creative approach, never lacking in irony.
For almost 20 years, every MARTA SALA ÉDITIONS object has been the product of a creative dialogue between designer and production, where Marta represents the key link due to her background and knowledge of production processes.
Crafted by expert Italian artisans, MARTA SALA ÉDITIONS furniture is today featured in exclusive bespoke projects, private residences, yachts, luxury hotels and fashion boutiques across the world.
Based in Milan and Paris, the brand is distributed through exclusive retailers in Italy, Russia, the United States and Asia.
