At AMSA, "Azienda Milanese Servizi Ambientali", we work to promote the circular economy by managing waste collection and ensuring decorum in the city of Milan and 16 municipalities in the hinterland. 

We are part of the A2A Group and adopt an integrated waste management system that allows one hundred percent of urban waste to be recycled or used for energy production, ensuring that no primary waste ends up in landfills. With our "door-to-door" collection service, we successfully differentiate approximately 62 percent of waste - a result that puts Milan at the top of the most virtuous European metropolises. 

Our operational reach spans across 372 square kilometers, serving a population of 1.81 million residents, including not only Milan but also the municipalities of Bresso, Buccinasco, Cormano, Corsico, Gerenzano, Lacchiarella, Novate Milanese, Paderno Dugnano, Pero, Pioltello, San Donato Milanese, San Giuliano Milanese, Saronno, Segrate, Settimo Milanese, and Uboldo.

AMSA employs approximately 3,100 people committed every day to promoting sustainability in the areas we serve. Additionally, our fleet of over 1,400 vehicles is carefully selected to minimize environmental impact; more than 30 percent of these vehicles are powered by methane, and over half are equipped with Euro 5 or Euro 6 compliant engines.
