Brands Velvet Studio

Velvet is an architecture, interior, and product design studio based in Turin, founded in 2012 by Gianluca Bocchetta. It emerged from the necessity to explore the perception of space and the emotions of those who inhabit it, coupled with a desire to create experiential, ergonomic, functional and aesthetically pleasing interiors. This ethical and moral perspective manifests in their unconventional projects. The design of clear, sincere, and occasionally brutal forms serves as the foundational element of each project. This approach, drawing upon the culture and expertise of natural materials, objects, and finishes, establishes a design ethos consistently anchored in craftsmanship and manual production. «The premises, environments, and homes should convey pleasure and comfort to those who use them. In the residential field, for example, we blend design with sensory ergonomics, interpreting every need of the client, so that the use of spaces as objects takes on both functional and aesthetic value, enhancing the pleasure of living».
