ADI Design Museum in Milan fosters design culture both nationally and internationally, through the exhibition of the Compasso d'Oro permanent collection – a historical record of Italian design from 1954 to the present – and the production of thematic exhibitions focusing on contemporary design, showcased abroad in international tours across Europe, Asia, and the United States. A dynamic museum, a cultural center devoted to contemporaneity and research, it aims to play an active role within the global museum network. It is a place able to transcend the traditional boundaries of cultural institutions, opening up to the complexity of a globalized reality in all its forms, establishing connections between the world of design and that of business, fashion, architecture, art, science and technology.
