Our history

M-Cube is the Italian leader in In-Store Digital Engagement solutions, offering an extensive portfolio of solutions that range from in-store radio to digital signage, interactivity and mobile apps. M-Cube develops innovative digital solutions to improve service, engagement, customer retention and communication within the retail industry.

Established in 2001, the company soon emerged as a leader in the In-Store Radio sector with the development of a proprietary system to manage audio content across different stores for large retail chains.

In 2004, M-Cube moved into Digital Signage, specialising in the integration of hardware and software systems and the creation and management of multimedia content. In just a few years, the company became a reference point for Digital Signage services across Italy.

M-Cube subsequently expanded its range of services with the aim of creating increasingly personalised customer journeys by bringing the advantages of the online world into the physical store.

With offices in Italy, United Kingdom, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, China and Hong Kong, an operational branch in New York and a consolidated network of global partners, M-Cube currently manages over 45,000 installations around the world for over 400 brands in the Fashion & Luxury, Retail, Finance & Insurance, QSR, Grocery Retail and Automotive sectors.

In 2020, M-Cube recorded consolidated group revenue of € 36 million, in line with the 2019 financial year, having successfully contained the impact of the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

International growth

In May 2015, M-Cube completed its first acquisition. The acquisition of PushPull, a long-standing Italian radio and video spot production company, expanded M-Cube's range of In-Store Radio and services and production of Digital Signage content.

In 2017, French group HLD invested in M-Cube, increasing the company's scope on the international market: the M-Cube Digital Engagement France and M-Cube UK Digital Engagement LTD branches were established in 2018 in Paris and London respectively. M-Cube UK Digital Engagement concluded its first operation in the same year with the acquisition of &AlchemyDigital LTD, a London-based consulting company specialising in Digital Signage.

In January 2019, M-Cube acquired majority shares in Stentle, a cutting-edge omnichannel retail solutions company based in Milan, expanding its range of solutions and applications for the customer journey.

In February 2019, M-Cube Digital Engagement France acquired Carlipa, a leading French company in Digital Signage and the management of multimedia content. With over 12,000 stores managed and more than 100 clients around the world (including brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior Couture and Richemont La Valle), M-Cube had reinforced its international presence and confirmed its leading position in the Fashion & Luxury sector.

In November 2019, M-Cube acquired Storever, a Belgian multinational specialising in In-Store Radio services and part of the listed Audio Valley group, and in doing so became the leading In-Store Radio and Digital Engagement group in Europe.

Our services

M-Cube offers a complete service: from analysis and consultancy to installation and management of solutions and content. The integration of multiple diverse technologies creates multi-sensorial purchase experiences, personalises sales and increases the retailer’s operational agility.

In-Store Radio: this was the first service that M-Cube brought to the Italian market. M-Cube works alongside the client to create a musical selection that reflects the brand’s identity, determining the sounds that best represent the brand values. Uniform brand identity is guaranteed across all stores thanks to the centralised management system provided by our online platform. M-Cube curates each individual phase internally: the analysis of brand identity and creation of playlists is handled by a team of music designers while all audio production is completed within the M-Cube recording studio. All management, updating of playlists, planning, daily planning and scheduling is controlled via the M-Cube player.

Digital Signage: Digital Signage solutions transform the store into an exciting space that portrays a dynamic brand identity and communicates directly with consumers through the power of images. M-Cube will help the client to choose the right solutions and design different points of interaction around the store, followed by installation and proactive monitoring. Furthermore, a specialist LED design team is on hand to design tailored solutions such as large-scale or totally immersive LED walls.

Omnichannel Retail: M-Cube’s omnichannel retail solutions bring digital experiences into the real world. A designated consulting team will assist the retailer in the design of the customer journey, identifying digital touchpoints and developing interactions in order to build an extremely fluid customer experience with no boundaries between digital and real. Apps such as click&collect, digital lookbooks, home showrooms and smart payment are just some of the many solutions developed and introduced by M-Cube clients.

Content Lab: our team of graphic and motion designers specialises in the creation, production and adaptation of digital content for the store and has extensive knowledge of the specific characteristics and technologies. They can suggest the most effective solutions for each point of contact, including interactive options, and help to create an engaging and spectacular customer experience.
