Designers Maurizio Milan

Maurizio Milan graduated in civil engineering in 1977 at the Padua University and he’s President of BUROMILAN. From the early years of his career, he focused his work on giving the link between architectural design and construction solutions. Since the 1980s, he was involved in the realization of many projects with internationally architecture firms. He was a professor of the Structural Engineering Master’s Programme at the Milan Polytechnic University until 2008 and, since 2007, he has been teaching Structural Design the IUAV University of Venice.

Maurizio and Massimiliano Milan decided to found Milan Ingegneria in 2013. They design and realize complex projects, also using unconventional materials such as pre-stressed stone, structural glass, titanium, glued laminated timber, bamboo, alloys, rammed earth and composite materials. They share a focus on technical excellence, experimentation and research. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its foundation, Milan Ingegneria becomes BUROMILAN and, for the first time, publicly exhibits its work, made of creativity, expertise and innovative solutions to design apparently impossible buildings with the most audacious architects on the world scene.
