Designers IED Alumni
Carolina Manes
Brazilian artist, born in Rio de Janeiro. Passionate about art, travel, nature, music, fashion and culture, she started her artistic career illustrating and painting watercolors. Printing on textiles and embroidery have always been a passion, and in 2020 she started custominzing shirts with her arts. From then on, she began to envision her career as a print designer. Today, she has products with her prints on partner sites in Brazil and around the world. Main inspirations for her work are the Brazilian fauna, flora, culture and colors.
Within the IED House exhibition she is presenting her first projects in printing on pillows covers.
Paula Chacartegui
Product Designer from Mallorca. After graduating from IED (2018) she worked as an intern for Martí Guixé (2018-2019) and Marcel Wanders (2019). It was during this time that she specialised in the field of craftsmanship and obtained her Master of Luxury & Craftsmanship diploma at ECAL (2019-2020).
Since then, she has been working in Spain as a product designer for the interior design studio Moredesign, where she designs indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting and textiles. She has worked for companies such as Alessi (IT), La Prairie (CH), Systemtronic (ES), Marsotto (IT) and Isimar (ES).
For IED Alumni she is exhibiting in IED House the chairs Sedna and Nanna.
Giovanni Longhi
Furniture designer from Lecco, graduated in Accademia di Belle Arti Aldo Galli - IED Como. He works as a freelance for studios and artisans in Brianza area, designing products and interiors. He collaborates durably with the company Tabu S.p.A.
For IED House he is exhibiting the lamps Building, Pix and 1783.
Pierpaolo Nieri
Interior Designer graduated from IED Firenze, co-founder of Studio Ventidue, active in architecture and design projects in Peccioli.
He collaborated with PLS Design studio in Florence, dealing with retail for fashion brands such as Moncler, Gucci and Harmont & Blaine and residential projects, in both Italian and international contexts. He has also collaborated with Nenmar studio in London, dedicating himself to the design of furniture for spaces for commercial use.
In 2019 he presented at Fuorisalone Läma, the student's desk, also exhibited this year in the IED House exhibit.
Massimo Nocivelli
Artist and freelance designer graduated from IED Barcelona. He collaborated with Remm Light Studio in Barcelona and he's currently carrying through autonomous projects.
Paper art project Classici in Carta
Plastic reinterpretation in paper art on the covers of some great literary classics, by Alumni of the course in Graphic Design for Communication at IED Firenze, who used high-quality papers provided by ICMA sartorial paper and Fontana Grafica.
