Designers ROBERTA MOLTENI
Roberta Molteni is an architect and designer who has lived and worked in Paris from twenty-three years, mainly dealing with apartment renovations. Constantly delving deeper into the theme of the home, this approach also translates into the creation of custom-made furniture and objects. Among her creations are the apartment of the fashon designer Vanessa Bruno, Andy Warhol's former “pied-à-terre” in Paris, the Benjamin Spademan Rare Books gallery in London, the apartment of the pianist Bertrand Chamayou, the boutique "Les Toits Parisiens" and the “Otto Lampade” collection presented at Campoli Presti in Paris.
“I wanted to give new life to these glasses that i began collecting many years ago”, explains Roberta Molteni. Each piece is unique because it is made of a vintage opaline glass, dating from the early twentieth century until the sixties. A lamp born from the sum of three overlapping shapes, a disk, a cylinder and a globe, and two lighting effects. The delicate and diffused light of an opaline glass and the perforated brass cylinder that imprisons and projects luminous drawings. The colors of the opals range from shades of pink and green to turquoise and stronger blues.
