Designers Antonella Mellini
A conceptual artist and performer, Antonella Mellini explores the relationship between matter and energy, through sculpture and performance, creating a deep connection between art and design. Her works, exhibited in international contexts, transform space into a crossroads of emotional and sensory connections.
Her work stands out for its strong link with design, which has led her to be invited for the second consecutive year to exhibit at Fuorisalone. In 2024, she participated in two official events of Milano Design Week: the Interniora project in the Porta Venezia Design District and the exhibition at Superstudio Più with Food Design Stories.
Since 2017, she has collaborated with ClubHouse, the official supplier of Illy Caffè, in designing a permanent collection of espresso cups developed for MLA Challenge 2017.
Since 2017, she has exhibited in prestigious venues such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles (Bozar) and participated in international fairs, including Context Art Basel Miami (2022) and FIG Festival Internacional de Grabado in Bilbao (2023), consolidating the global scope of her research. In 2019, GQ Magazine named her among the "7 young talents of contemporary art."
In 2020, she exhibited alongside Oliviero Toscani and Marco Lodola in Lajatico, under the curatorship of Carlo Alberto Arzelà, and at the invitation of Jacqueline Ceresoli, took part in the Ex-Voto project, curated by Angelo Crespi, Director of the Pinacoteca di Brera.
