Designers Nassia Inglessis Studio INI

Nassia Inglessis is an artist, engineer, and designer based in London and Athens, leading Studio INI—an experimental practice that fuses scientific research with design to create immersive, interactive installations. Rooted in the concept of “augmented materiality,” her work challenges the static nature of architecture, allowing materials to transform in response to human interaction. From a 17-meter flexing wall of recycled plastic and steel in *Disobedience* to dynamically manipulated glass structures at the V&A Museum, her projects reshape perceptions of space and materiality on a global scale.

With a background in Engineering Science from Oxford University and training at institutions like the Royal College of Art and MIT Media Lab, Nassia blends technology and art to push the boundaries of material exploration. Through Studio INI, she pioneers human-actuated installations that serve as platforms for live experimentation, provoking new cognitive and spatial experiences. Her work is driven by a commitment to reimagining the relationship between nature, humans, and built environments, fostering innovation at the intersection of design, science, and public engagement.
