Designers Chris Bangle

Chris Bangle is one of the most important automotive designers of the last 50 years. In 1992, he was the first American appointed head of design at the BMW Group, where he managed to ferry the style of historic brands such as BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce into the 21st century. In 2009, he moved to Clavesana, in Piedmont, where he founded Chris Bangle Associates, a design residence and studio that operates in the field of design management, product design and animation. He has collaborated with IAAD (Istituto d'Arte Applicata e Design di Torino) as Strategic Director of the Transportation Design Department; he frequently travels around the world for conferences, speeches and workshops. Among the awards he has received, Compasso d’Oro for career; Lifetime Design Achievement Eyes on Design, American Prize for Design.
