Designers Filipe Alarcão
Born in 1963, Filipe Alarcão has a graduation in Design by the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and Master Degree in Industrial Design at Domus Academy in Milan, Italy. Recipient of the National Design Prize promoted by the Portuguese Design Centre, he lives and works in Lisbon, in his own practice Filipe Alarcão Designstudio, developing projects of industrial and furniture design, urban design, lighting, ceramics and glass.
Between 1995 and 1997, he works in Milan with arch. Michele de Lucchi. More recently, he extended the scope of his work to fields related to interior and exhibition design as well as art director for several design projects with such as Project 01 for the Portuguese Vista Alegre/Atlantis, Amorim Cork, Temahome.
MUDE. Museu do Design e da Moda – Colecção Francisco Capelo, in Lisbon, held a personal exhibition of his work in 2011/2012. He teaches at ESAD-CR, Caldas da Rainha Design School, in Portugal
