Materially NOW

Materially NOW is the event designed by Materially for the Milan Design Week 2024 and hosted at Superstudio Più.

For over two decades Materially has been the point of reference in Italy in the search for innovative and sustainable materials for the manufacturing industry and for every design-driven application. In this edition of the Milan Design Week, together with a selection of heterogeneous materials, Materially will present its advisory approach - being a trait d'union between materials producers and users, between research and application, between technology and design.

Materially NOW physically and symbolically places the focus on the study of materials and the work of those companies that, through research, investments, and production, are carrying out a small but great revolution: changing the present to build the future of design.  Three directions were identified in the research and design of materials today - Aim Net Zero, Impact by Industry and Nature in Lab – expressing three often coexisting values: Ethics, Transformation, Experimentation.

Materially NOW is not only an exhibition space, but also an agora of discussion and in-depth analysis, mediated and supported by Materially. It is an event created to provide opportunities of education and connection between materials producers and users. The central area is animated daily by a calendar of workshops and presentations dedicated to the materials on display, while broad-ranging panel talks will give voice to key players of materials manufacturing and research.

The installation, built in collaboration with Poliuretano è, Mariantonia Urru, Favini, Madreperla Group and Plastiz, is designed so that each component can be reused, in a logic of full circularity.
