Urban Mining : Design, Dismantle, Disseminate
Solferino 28 is once again the setting for an installation in the Brera Design District.  The Architect Mario Cucinella, with his MCA studio, will sign "Urban Mining" which will be developed in the inner courtyard of the Corriere della Sera, offering an unprecedented vision of sustainability. As Cucinella himself explains, "Urban mining will describe the urban reality as a possible reserve for the future. Urban space is seen as "an ecosystem that, by deconstructing, transforms itself from its own material, as it happens in nature. An idea of circularity applied to architecture in which the creative process becomes central".

The Pattern of Dreams
Porsche returns to Milan Design Week with "The Pattern of Dreams" – the fifth iteration of the traveling art and design initiative "The Art of Dreams”. Design collective Numen/For Use takes the monochromatic diagonals within the pepita pattern -  first exhibited in the 356 C, 911 Porsche - and brings them to life with their monumental immersive artwork "Lines of Flight". As a "floating landscape”, the installation invites viewers to climb and explore this immersive social sculpture as a "community hammock" and a place of escape, transition, fantasy, and freedom.

Design Duo Double Feature
A work that researches the multipotential of materials and surfaces starting from the concept of the duo: six pairs of designers have been invited to design furnishing elements with a dual use, created by combining FENIX® materials with the group's other brands. The products will also be presented within the context of a double set-up - indoor and outdoor - created by the design duo Studioboom. Selected by curator Federica Sala, CARA \ DAVIDE, DWA Design Studio, Martinelli Venezia, Næssi Studio, mist-o and Zanellato/Bortotto will give life to objects that explore new multifaceted functions, juggling transformability, mobility, sustainability, and versatility.

POESIS MATERIAE
Zaha Hadid Design has interpreted Iris Ceramica Group’s natural ceramic elements to create an installation which brings matter to the centre stage by expressing strength and versatility in a unique and unmistakable design. The installation ideally entails the sense of movement of water waves - it showcases a modern alternative to conventional ways to see ceramic by merging traditional procedures of standardisation with the non-orthogonal, fluid lines of the design.

Transitions
The shapes that matter assumes through the presence or absence of water draw sinuous and unexpected patterns. Transitions, the installation proposed by Stark on the occasion of the new theme suggested by the Fuorisalone, invites a multisensory and interactive exploration of the transitions created by the relationship between matter and water.

Matter in Motion
Located inside Casa Brera, the Grand Seiko space will allow visitors to enjoy an enveloping experience of “forest bathing”: in an area of the location, guests will have the chance to try the Shinrin-yoku, a famous Japanese meditation technique made possible by reproducing a real forest; in the second area, on the other hand, a contemporary, digital environment that aims to evoke the "urban forest", a theater in which matter finds its transformation through human intervention.
