Seven days of talks, concerts, DJ sets, installations, and artistic performances with international guests to collectively explore the contradictions of the contemporary cultural landscape.
For the second consecutive year, KIA and ZERO bring Opposites United to the Museo della Permanente for Milan Design Week: a week-long program, from morning till night, featuring artistic installations and a public program of talks, artistic performances, and music with international guests.
Throughout the event, the audience will have the opportunity to experience installations by Anna Galtarossa, Riccardo Benassi, Sissel Toolas, and LedPulse. Each piece is conceived and produced specifically for the event within a thematic framework that investigates the relationships between the individual and the collective, human and digital. LedPulse's installation will serve as a stage for daily performances by artists such as the Percussionists of La Scala, Maya Shenfeld, CTM, XEXA, and Jim C. Nedd (with Hansel Castro and Carlos Russo).
Every day there will be a talk focused on debate around opposing themes, hosted by Marco Sammicheli, Andrea Lissoni, Sarah Miles, Emanuele Coccia, Andrea Staid, with prominent guests.
Each evening a selection of artists from the international scene will bring different cultural and musical genres, such as Moonchild Sannelly's Ghetto Future Funk and JASSS's techno-infused pop music, SHERELLE + Flowdan's reinterpretation of London's Caribbean heritage, or Oliver Coates' cello performance in an ambient setting.
Opposites United embodies a dialectical method, where each element engages in dialogue with the others.
