Appointment in Cortina for a weekend of design

Three days full of guests, activations and excellent excuses to explore the Ampezzo area: Cortina for Us, in collaboration with the Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo and its partners, presents the second edition of the Cortina Design Weekend, the event dedicated to the themes of design which takes place from 12 to 14 July 2024. The title of the edition is Formation, a concept conceived and developed by Dolomiti Contemporanee - an organization that operates through contemporary art and culture as a spatial and conceptual reconfigurator - and which insists on the multiple meanings of this term, whether you want to interpret it in an abstract or concrete way, linked to design, construction, the environment or humankind.

The three days in the Belluno Dolomites is therefore a dive into design to discover how the discipline is shaping much more than just objects and furniture. The aim of Cortina Design Weekend this year will be again that of promoting a concrete reflection capable of tracing new forms of relationship with the mountain territory through design, of imagining solutions to enhance and preserve the environment, of developing models of interaction between people and objects.

On 12 and 13 July, the Design Weekend will take place in Cortina, where various talks and dialogues will alternate - some also accredited by the Order of Architects -, while on Sunday 14th we will move to the former Eni Village in Borca di Cadore for a visit to this exceptional space. Furthermore, you will be able to visit a small exhibition and a workshop, as well as some temporary installations in the area and routes dedicated to architecture.

Tour inside the Ampezzo headquarters of Era Group Immobiliare where the case history of corporate innovation will be told. Architect Luca Menardi Ruggeri will complete the story by underlining the synergy between design and sales.
