A project created in collaboration with Fondazione Prada, Museo del Novecento, PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea, Pirelli HangarBicocca, and Triennale Milano
The twenty-ninth edition of miart - international modern and contemporary art fair taking place in Milan from April 4/ 6, 2025, at Allianz MiCo - will focus on dialogue and multidisciplinarity. The twenty-ninth edition is inspired by the legacy of Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008), marking one hundred years since his birth, with the aim of honoring the principles at the heart of his work and his rejection of conventional boundaries – between art and non-art, between artist and viewer, between media, and across disciplines – led him to shape new ways of working based on friendship and cooperation, not only with fellow artists but also with dancers, musicians, writers, and scientists.
This vision has led to the creation of talks among friends, a series of events celebrating the ability of Milan’s cultural institutions to foster partnerships and synergies that transcend the distinction between public and private, extend beyond traditional boundaries, and explore new disciplines while engaging with public spaces.

Each of the five participating institutions – Fondazione Prada, Museo del Novecento, PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea, Pirelli HangarBicocca, and Triennale Milano – has designed and curated a public event centered on the theme of collaboration, reflecting its own ongoing research and current exhibitions.
