Materials Redefining the Future
The event title itself implies a responsibility: transforming the many words associated with sustainability into tangible and measurable data. The Scale of Commitment is an exhibition curated by Materially for Milan Design Week 2025, focusing on the concrete commitment of numerous companies to the research and development of innovative, high-performance, and sustainable materials.

The exhibition offers an in-depth overview of materials that stand out for their strategic and responsible approach, also in response to recent European regulations on greenwashing and ecodesign. The physical and performance characteristics of the materials can be explored through a sensory installation, while an interactive project allows visitors to delve deeper into data and technical information using immersive digital tools.
This playful and intuitive experience visualizes and quantifies how the exhibited materials have addressed major environmental challenges, following five key themes: Air Quality, Bio Resource, Circular Stories, Carbon Data, and Process Improvement.
