Sailing through Art and Design: Sanlorenzo’s Wind Labyrinth

— 03 April 2025

An immersive installation at Milan Design Week celebrating the sea, wind, and sustainable innovation

Sanlorenzo takes center stage at Milan Design Week with Wind Labyrinth, an immersive installation designed by Piero Lissoni for the INTERNI CRE-ACTION exhibition. From April 7 to 17, in the evocative Cortile del Settecento at the University of Milan, visitors will experience a sensory journey where wind and sails intertwine in a dialogue between design, nature, and technology.

The sail labyrinth, created through an upcycling process, represents the sea as an infinite space where the wind guides exploration. The installation celebrates Nautor Swan's entry into the Sanlorenzo world, highlighting its elegance and sailing performance. The suspended sails and the interplay of light and shadow transport visitors to a dreamlike dimension, expressing Sanlorenzo’s vision of conscious luxury, balancing aesthetics and sustainability.

With this installation, Sanlorenzo strengthens its pioneering role in the yachting industry, continuing its journey towards carbon neutrality. This commitment is reflected in groundbreaking projects such as the 50Steel superyacht with a Reformer Fuel Cell system powered by green methanol and the Swan 88 DreamCatcher, winner of the Eco Award at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards.
