Tips, Milan — 22 December 2020

The Board of Directors of the Fondazione La Triennale di Milano has announced the new positions, entrusted to two finally young and highly competent faces.

The Triennale di Milano concludes its 2020 with the official announcement of the names of the Scientific Committee. Marco Sammicheli is the new curator for Design, Fashion and Crafts and Superintendent of the Museum of Italian Design. He will be in charge of exhibition activities, research and implementation of the permanent collection. He will also be in charge of international relations for the International Exhibition.

Damiano Gullì (already active as Assistant Curator to the Director of the Museum of Italian Design) has instead been appointed as curator in charge of the Public Program of the Triennale di Milano, a multidisciplinary program aimed at proposing a calendar of lectures, meetings and projects for in-depth analysis and discussion of current issues and contemporary research. His work will work alongside that of the other curators of the Triennale Scientific Committee, which includes Umberto Angelini (for Theatre, Dance, Performance, Music), Lorenza Baroncelli (for Architecture, Urban Regeneration, Cities), Lorenza Cristiana Bravetta (for Photography) and, from today, Marco Sammicheli.

We would like to express our enthusiasm for these new assignments that will bring new life to the relaunch and promotion of one of the most important institutions for Milan and for Italian and international Design. There will be no lack of opportunities for collaboration on projects dedicated to Milan Design Week. We wish Marco and Damiano a brilliant new beginning.
