Super Walls: the Biennale of street art in Abano Terme and Padua

From June 5 to 20, the Biennial of Street Art of Abano Terme and Padua called Super Walls will involve dozens of artists to enhance through their works large walls located in the urban fabric of eight municipalities: in addition to Abano Terme and Padua, in fact, are involved Albignasego, Limena, Mestrino, Tombelle di Saonara, Sarmeola di Rubano and Veggiano.

There are 40 street artists, a dozen of them women, both Italian and international, coming from five European countries, called to elaborate the concept of "rebirth", on the surfaces made available by private and institutional realities, companies, recreational centers, Alí stores, religious institutes, as well as the University of Padua and city hospitals.

Super Walls 2021 is an event that celebrates street art as a tool to improve the urban landscape. In the previous edition, 20 impressive works have already transformed the host municipalities into a true open-air art gallery.

The event, promoted by the Municipality of Padua, the Municipality of Abano Terme and the Cultural Association CIMI, was based on a call to action launched by the curators Carlo Silvestrin (gallerist) and Dominique Stella (art critic): next to the Paduan artists Alessio-B, Any, Axe, Boogie. EAD, Joys, Orion, Peeta, Roulè, Tony Gallo, Yama and Zero Mentale, there will be many well-known names on the international scene, including the Dutch JDL and Nina Valkhoff, the Spanish Medianeras, Nuriatoll, Doa Oa, Spok, the French Nerone, Daco, Anna Conda, David Karsenty and the collective La Crémerie, and the German Julia Benz.
