In the Galleria dei Mosaici at Milan's Stazione Centrale, an immersive exhibition of the artist's work featuring more than 30 new works never exhibited before.
From 3 December 2021 to 27 February 2022, the new exhibition "The World of Banksy - The Immersive Experience" lands in Milan. After the success of the exhibition at the Teatro Nuovo in Milan, which followed the editions in Paris, Barcelona, Prague, Brussels and Dubai, the eclectic British artist Banksy leaves his mark at Milan Central Station, the "gateway" par excellence to the city.
The immersive exhibition features more than 30 new works never before exhibited, including "Ozone Angel", "Steve Jobs", "Napoleon" and "Waiting In Vain", in addition to works and murals created by anonymous young artists from across Europe. The exhibition presents more than 130 works that narrate the world of the mysterious artist, famous for tackling political and social issues with irony. Alongside the most iconic masterpieces, "Flower Thrower" and "Girl with Balloon", which have made him famous throughout the world, there is also a special video section that traces the history and social message of the murals created by Banksy in streets, walls and bridges all over the world.
The eccentric and powerful works on display give the viewer an opportunity to reflect on the system and the society in which we live; they are a symbol of struggle and protest in a world where economic interests often dominate over the good of the community. Banksy's aim is to use his art to bring to light the problems that afflict contemporary society and to make the public aware of the issues of capitalism, war and power through the use of metaphorical, amusing and provocative images with an immediate visual impact.
