Oscar Farinetti - The architecture of food
Interview with Oscar Farinetti, founder of Eataly
The entrepreneur's activity is based on three inseparable pillars: environment design, storytelling and substance. Without the first two, substance has no value. Architecture is its container and it is what makes its story possible. From the plate, to the shelves, to the lighting, to the environment, in the sale in the food sector, architecture and design play a fundamental role by bringing together different values, for example authority and informality. Architects must have the ability to create innovative projects with a few moves, to create very safe, but joyful environments in the return to sociability.
