Antonio Cussino - Redesigning the places of sociability
Interview with Antonio Cussino, president Idrocentro
Cities and buildings have always been shaped by disease; as in the past cholera, the plague of 1855 or tuberculosis, Covid-19 will likewise require to redesign places of life that will no longer be the same after the pandemic. Physical spaces are an expression of people: if needs change, shapes also change. Homes, offices, parks, ... will have to be rethought. A new modular and adjustable architecture is needed to allow spaces to lend themselves to different and changing functions. Opportunities arise from every crisis: you must be able to seize them.
