Giannini boasts over 150 years of history as one of the most ancient bookbinding workshops in the world, founded by Giulio Giannini and his sons in 1856 in Florence. The company is now run by the sixth generation of the family and maintain its activity in the same workshop in the heart of the Oltrarno district, near Palazzo Pitti, one of the most picturesque area of the city, deeply tied with artisanal traditions. Giannini still contributes to the definition of Florentine style in bookbinding, taking inspiration from 14th century models with leather hard covers and gold leaf decorations.
