Iron Sculptures by Antonino Sciortino
Discover iron works crafted by Antonino Sciortino, elegant creations inspired by Sicilian sea and by the movement of dance.
Antonino Sciortino was exposed to the Sicilian traditional art since an early age, by observing and learning ironworking techniques in his brother’s workshop located in his hometown, Bagheria. Afteer a career in show business and dance, in 2003 Antonino felt again the calling of manual labor and tradition and moved to Milan where he established his own workshop, where he infuses in each of his pieces a combination of Baroque style and the minimalism of iron, inspired by the ethereal movements of dance and the maritime themes of his origins.
